Dr. Ali M. Ussi

Dr. Ali M. Ussi is a senior lecturer at the department of Natural Science at the State University of Zanzibar -Tanzania. He is a nationalistic academician and environmentalist who earned his degrees from 2001 to 2014 at the University of Dar es Salaam – Tanzania, specializing in Marine Sciences, specifically Marine Ecology. Dr. Ussi served as the Department of Natural Sciences head in 2016 and thereafter as Director of Undergraduate Studies and Deputy Vice-Chancellor in Academics, Research and Consultancy at the same University. He is an active researcher in marine ecology.

Dr Saleh Yaya
Senior lecturer at the Institute of Marine Sciences (IMS), University of Dar es Salaam
Dr Saleh Yahya currently works at the senior lecturer at the Institute of Marine Sciences, and also at the Deep Sea Fishing Authority, situated in Zanzibar, Tanzania. He has over 25 years experience working in marine sciences in the region. His research interests are coastal and coral reef ecology, fisheries ecology, and management of marine resources.
